The Young Professionals Team is part of the WFWPI Global Committee, an international network of integrated and interrelated development committees to realize the vision of WFWPI. The Young Professionals Team is a creative think tank at the international level to practice cultural diplomacy which is the exchange of ideas, information, art, language and other cultural aspects between a nation and its people in order to deepen mutual understanding. This team brainstorms, develops and proposes suggestions and ideas for the goals and direction of the WFWP and not only contribute innovative ideas on environmental issues, IT-related education, social networking marketing, etc., but also engage young volunteers, interns, and professionals to represent WFWP at the UN and contribute to research, position papers, and statements.

Launched in March 2021, the Young Professionals Team, consisting of young people aged 21 to 40 from around the world, have been meeting monthly and has already undertaken several projects based primarily on advice and suggestions from committee members who are WFWPI members and friends from various points of the world.

Here are seven projects that were organized and created by the WFWPI Young Professionals Team.

-WFWPI Virtual Cafe ‘Peace Golden Bell’
In 2021, the Republic of Korea is celebrating the 71st anniversary of the Korean War, and the team decided to take the opportunity to create an educational platform for students to learn about Korean history and culture in a fun way by organizing a participatory online quiz contest and using a game-based learning tool called Kahoot! The event brought together hundreds of young and older generations from around the world, creating a networking opportunity for both intergenerational interaction and gameplay.

-WFWPI Photography Masterclass
The event was organized in collaboration with a young professional photographer from Kenya, who gave a general presentation on what photography is, as well as step-by-step guidelines on how to take quality photos, starting from how to hold the device, to preparing the lighting and finding a good angle. Many participants were inspired and grateful to receive practical advice from a professional photographer to improve their photography skills.

-WFWPI Characters
WFWPI has collaborated with a young Italian illustrator to create characters for the anniversary book. These characters will be used for promotional and marketing purposes in the future.

-Project ‘Travel Vlogs.’
The COVID-19 pandemic has restricted people's travel and they can no longer visit different countries as easily as before. To solve this problem, a group of young professionals decided to create a travel blog project by sharing their experiences in their home countries in video format, highlighting new potential destinations for viewers and showing the current situation in different parts of the world. These videos were shown as the introductory videos at the WFWPI General Assembly held in September.

-Project ‘Permission to Dance’ Virtual Cover Dance
The project was created to provide a platform for people around the world to unite through one selected song - BTS’s “Permission to Dance.” For this project, WFWPI invited talented people of any age from all over the world to send home-recorded videos with energetic performances that blew away those feelings of depression caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The submitted videos were edited together into one virtual performance and shown at the WFWPI General Assembly in September.

-WFWP Zepeto Virtual World
WFWPI collaborated with a young professional from Korea to implement a new idea to create a virtual space in Zepeto, a social media app that allows users to create their own 3D animated versions of themselves, meet and take photos with other virtual friends, play games and create their own virtual playground. WFWP created "Color My Heart House'' to bring the "Color My Heart with Peace" art contest for children to a wider audience.

-WFWPI Webinar for Young Professionals
Young professionals around the world are playing an active role in creating and promoting peace by speaking out for positive change, coexistence and harmony. Young Professionals plan to hold a webinar in October to focus on the role of youth in the family and society, enhancing and contributing to the culture of the community and society, while sharing best practices and decision-making processes that have contributed to effectively tackling huge crises in various areas of responsibility in life.

The WFWPI Young Professionals team aims to expand and build a network of influential thinkers and future global leaders who can gain knowledge and share insights and skills with one another to create a peaceful world and future together.
